3 Ways Mentors And Father Figures Will Fail You

In my experience, even though my father was around physically, he was never really present enough to teach me all the valuable skills your required to learn as a man. The things you would think a father would teach his son such as driving, shaving, and how to ask a girl out on a date.

What this tends to do is push us to seek out father figures in other places. Maybe it’s at school, church or even at work, the point is we look for men to fill that gap. Some of us are lucky to find these father figures/mentors that take it upon themselves to invest time in us. That happened to me and I am eternally grateful for it.

However, as time goes on and we get older. We begin to outgrow these mentors for a number of reasons.
